
The Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex consists of various facilities, including the National Swimming Pool, a Gym, 2 squash courts, 5-a-side football grounds, Headquarters of the Maltese Olympic Committee, House of Sports for various National Sport Associations. Situated only a few metres away from the Tal-Qroqq National Pool, is the University Sports Complex. The University Multipurpose Sports Hall is a modern sporting facility designed to cater for various disciplines, including basketball, volleyball, handball, gymnastics and martial arts.
The National Swimming Pool is situated at SportMalta Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex and offers a full sized Olympic pool (50mtrs) and a diving pool (25mtrs) and abides by International Olympic Swimming Standards. The pool is heated during the winter months to maintain temperature at 26.5-27 degree Celsius. The pool is monitered by latest equipment to monitor the quality of water to WHO specifications.The complex is the main venue for competitive aquatic sports in Malta. Besides the National Water polo leagues, a number of international water polo tournaments and important international swimming meetings are regularly held at the complex.The complex may be used by international sport users for training camps.Sports related services are also available within the complex.
Summer courses are also held, both for schools as well as for the general public.
Heating:
The Main pool is heated from the end of Sep to the end of May keeping a constant temperature of 26.5 – 27 degrees Celsius. The Dive pool is not heated during the winter times.
