Lloret de Mar coastal town in Catalonia, Spain. It is 40 kilometres south of Girona and 75 kilometres northeast of Barcelona. With a population of 38,402 is the second largest town in the Selva comarca of Catalonia.Since 2006, Lloret de Mar is certified as a sports tourism destination of the sportive modalities as soccer, track and field, cycling, swimming, team sports and triathlon.
